My name is Melinda Ennis; I am an adjuster and insurance claims industry specialist, with over 21 years of experience. As an owner at Baggett Claim Service, Inc., I managed over 20 employees, and oversaw daily operations, for our firm’s full-line adjusters and automobile appraisers. During my tenure with our firm, I worked closely with engineers, government officials, and cause and origin professionals, to evaluate reports, confirm covered perils, and conclude often disputed and high valuation claims.  As an additional service, I have assisted with claims review and processing for our customer’s in-house adjusters as their workload and staffing required.

I am a highly proficient property adjuster with Level II Xactimate certification. I have ten years of catastrophe claims experience as a field adjuster for Crawford & Company. CAT locations have included New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Louisiana, North Carolina, and Canada, handling a variety of disaster related losses.


Over the last two decades as an industry professional, I have worked extensively on, and continue to handle:
•   Commercial property and casualty, large loss commercial, residential, and governmental claims, as well as auto, personal, and general liability
•    Mediation and appraisals, ALE evaluations, fair rental value analyses, business income losses, and bodily injury up to, and including, fatality claims.
 

I am experienced in intergovernmental claims processes and have worked extensively with local and state police, fire, and city/county governments, from full claims investigations, to code compliance evaluation and  full scope property damage estimating. Further experience with municipal claims handling includes: working with small cites, water districts, housing authorities, and transit systems, as well as working closely with our risk pool customers in evaluating possible additional risk and additional coverage where needed. 
 

Whether working at Baggett Claim Service, Inc., or with an international adjusting firm, I have always maintained top producer status while maintaining the highest level of accuracy and ethical standards for the businesses we represent. 
 

Highly proficient in the use of industry software including: Xactimate (Level II Certified), DDS, MSB, , Microsoft Office Suite, Lotus, and Peachtree Accounting Programs.
